Qatari, French leaders discuss, regional, int'l topics

DOHA, Feb 1 (KUNA) -- Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed the latest regional and international developments, as well as the bilateral ties. During a phone conversation on Sunday, the two leaders exchanged views on efforts to de-escalate tensions in the Middle East region, including the developments related to Iran, Gaza Strip and Lebanon, Qatar's Amiri Diwan said in a statement.
They discussed the efforts to bolster the ceasefire and protect civilians in Gaza, and ensure the security, stability and sovereignty of Lebanon, according to the statement.
