MUSCAT, Feb 27 (KUNA) -- Oman's Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi said on Friday that the US-Iranian negotiations have yielded 'unparalleled progress, which could constitute the cornerstone of the envisioned agreement.'
This came during a meeting held between Al Busaidi and US Vice President J.D. Vance in Washington where they reviewed the indirect talks sponsored by Oman and the diplomatic efforts aiming to reach a fair and sustainable deal of the nuclear file, Oman's Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
During the meeting, Al Busaidi expressed great appreciation for the serios efforts exerted by the parties participating in the talks that have made so far innovative and constructive ideas and concepts which brought views closer, it added
He affirmed Oman's keenness on continuing its endeavors to support dialogue and bring rapprochement between the concerned parties, it noted
Meanwhile, US Vice President voiced the US Administration's appreciation to the Oman's role, lauding its endeavors in mediation and sponsoring the talks, according to the statement.
The meeting stressed the depth of historic and strategic relations between the two sides and their keenness on continuing boosting and developing ties in multiple fields to serve their countries and peoples. (end)
