WASHINGTON, Feb 27 (KUNA) -- US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis met in Washington late Thursday to advance the U.S.-Greece strategic partnership.
During the meeting, they discussed expanding U.S.-Greece energy cooperation and commercial ties, promoting European defense and regional security, and addressing illegal migration, said the US Department of State in a press release.
The meeting is part of both sides' efforts to promote their bilateral relations, particularly amid security challenges the region is witnessing, along with energy security and illegal migration. (end)
