Qadsia secures 7th Super Cup trophy
KUWAIT, Feb 1 (KUNA) -- Qadsia SC won the Kuwait's Football Super Cup title on Sunday, for the seventh time in its history after defeating Kuwait SC in the final match on penalty kicks 4-3, following a 1-1 draw at the end of regular time.
Qadsia opened the scoring through Abdoulaye Mbengue to take a first-half lead, while Mohammed Marhoon scored the equalizer for Kuwait SC in the second half.
In the penalty shootout, Qadsia successfully converted four kicks compared to three for Kuwait, securing the Super Cup title for the seventh time in its history, compared to eight titles for Kuwait SC and three for Al-Arabi SC.
Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium witnessed an exciting match that kept the fans in the stands entertained until the very last moments. (end)
