KUWAIT, Aug 17 (KUNA) -- President of Sudan National Council Prof. Ibrahim Omar stressed Thursday his country's serious efforts to provide an attractive environment for foreign investments by developing economic systems and laws.
Prof. Omar made his statement to KUNA after visiting -- along with his accompanying delegation -- the Arab Planning Institute, where they met with Director General Bader Malallah.
The official called on Kuwait private sector to have a closer look into Sudan's investment environment specially the metals sector.
Sudan has signed lately an agreement with Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, with a value of USD 47.2 million, to build and construct laboratories for mining sector.
Prof. Omar expressed his thanks to Kuwait for its continuing supports for Sudan and helping development plans in the country.
He reaffirmed Kuwaiti-Sudanese bilateral political and diplomatic ties under the leadership of rulers of the two countries.
