CAIRO, June 22 (KUNA) -- Security forces have raided a hideout of gunmen in Asiut killing seven "of the terrorists," the Egyptian Ministry of Interior said on Thursday.
It said the gunmen were involved in recent terrorist attacks including blasts that targeted Christian churches.
The gunmen used the clandestine site in the desert Al-Thaheer area for training on arms, preparing explosives and planning terrorist attacks to terrorize the people and spread chaos in the country.
Five rifles, ammunitions and a booby-trapped motorcycle were found at the site. (end)
