1959 -- Kuwait's Amir, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem, issues a decree regulating the judiciary system.
1970 -- An Amiri Decree is issued stipulating Kuwait's joining of the 1925 Geneva Protocol for the Prohibition of the Use of Asphyxiating, Poisonous or Other Gases.
1982 -- The Kuwaiti Society for Chemicals is proclaimed.
1999 -- The UN Secretary General chooses Kuwait's Education Undersecretary Dr. Rasha Al-Sabah as member of the UN-affiliated council of the secretaries of the academy of research and training.
2000 -- The Ministry of Oil tenders projects worth KD 2.329 million for the fiscal year 2001-2002.
2001 -- Al-Arabi football club beat rivals Kazma 2-0, becoming league champions of the 40th version of the competition.
2002 -- Minister of Heath Dr. Mohammed Al-Jarallah inaugurates Al-Sulaibikhat natural reserve.

2005 -- The National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters (NCCAL) honors Jumaa Al-Majid's intellectual contributions during the 12th Qurain Cultural Festival.
2010 -- Kuwait Minister of Water and Electricity Dr. Bader Al-Shrai'an opened Kuwait national power-grid project which was part of the GCC powwer-grid.
2010 -- Kuwaiti fencer Ahmad Abulkhther at the Arab tournament which was held in Kuwait.
