MUSCAT, March 1(KUNA) -- The Sultanate of Oman, Jordan and Egypt stressed on Sunday the need for an immediate halt to reciprocal shelling in the Middle East region and a return to the path of dialogue and diplomacy.
Oman News Agency reported that this came during two separate phone calls by Sultan Haitham bin Tareq with Jordanian King Abdullah II and Egyptian President Abdulfattah Al-Sisi.
It added that the talks addressed developments of the military escalation witnessed in the region following the Israeli-American shelling on Iran and its repercussions on security and stability in the region and the world. (end)
