Two killed, 29 injured in Israeli occupation airstrikes on Lebanon's Bekaa

BEIRUT, Feb 27 (KUNA) -- Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health announced Friday that the final updated toll from Israeli occupation airstrikes on the eastern Bekaa region a day earlier has risen to two killed and 29 injured.
The Public Health Emergency Operations Center at the ministry said in a statement that the Israeli strikes on the Bekaa Valley resulted in the death of two people, including a Syrian child. At the same time, a woman succumbed to her wounds. A total of 29 others were wounded.
The center noted that among the injured were nine children, four girls and five boys, in addition to eight women.
Israeli warplanes had carried out a series of intense raids on Thursday targeting the Baalbek area in the Bekaa region, causing damage to residential homes and commercial shops.
Israeli forces continue to target towns, vehicles and motorcycles in various parts of Lebanon despite a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on November 27, 2024. (end) ayb.aa
