Chad deplores Sudan's RSF killing of seven soldiers

ALGIERS, Jan 17 (KUNA) -- Chad has condemned Sudan's Rapid Support Forces' attack inside the Chadian territories that killed seven soldiers, warning the warring parties in Sudan against the repetition of such an assault.
In a media statement, Chadian government spokesman Qassem Sharif said that his country would not tolerate with such attacks, cautioning against repeated violation of his land in the future.
Sudan's RSF illegally crossed Chad's border on Thursday and carried out a gun operation inside the Chadian territory targeting defense and security forces, and civilians, east of the country.
The attack resulted in the killing of seven soldiers, wounding some others, causing damage to property.
In another statement, the Chadian government noted that it was not the first time that the Sudanese warrying parties violates Chad's territories.
Since the eruption of Sudan's crisis, Chad has been neutral, out of its permanent commitment to regional stability and peace, and respect for international law, it added.
It warned that it would immediately and strictly retaliate to any attacks on, or violation of, its land. (end) mr.ams.hm
