BERLIN, July 8 (KUNA) -- German exports to the US have declined amid uncertainties emanating from the trans-Atlantic trade and tariff disputes, according to the German Federal Statistical Office, known as Destatis, based in Wiesbaden.
The exports value declined in May compared to the previous month by 7.7 percent and by 13.8 percent in contrast to last year's May.
Value of the exports to the US, in May, reached USD 14.8 billion, an unprecedented record since 2022, the office said in a report.
German's Total exports during the same time fell by 1.4 percent while imports dropped by 3.8 percent.
The US held talks with European Union after Washington declared a plan to impose high tariffs on European products.
The US is a main market for the German exports. (end)
