Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty
CAIRO, June 20 (KUNA) -- Egypt underlined the need for exerting further efforts to de-escalate military operations and implements ceasefire between the Israeli occupation and Iran.
In a statement on Friday, Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the remarks came during phone calls between Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty and US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, as well as with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
Abdelatty called on all parties to prevent escalation that could create chaos in the whole region. He also called for reaching a diplomatic and political agreement on the Iranian nuclear file. (end)
