NEW YORK, Sept 24 (KUNA) -- Representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, held a series of meetings late Tuesday with leading executives of major international companies at Kuwait's Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.
His Highness the Crown Prince met the President and CEO of Franklin Templeton Investments Jenny Johnson, senior officials from the US Chamber of Commerce including First Vice President for International Development Khush Choksy, Vice President for Middle East Affairs Central Asia and Turkiye Steve Lutes, State Street Executive Vice President and Head of International Affairs Cuan Coulter, and Founding President of the General Catalyst Institute, Teresa Carlson.
He also met Microsoft Vice Chairman and President Brad Smith, as well as the President and Chief Investment Officer of Alphabet and Google Ruth Porat.
During the meetings, His Highness the Crown Prince conveyed greetings of His Highness the Amir and reaffirmed Kuwait's keenness to enhance the presence of global companies in Kuwait, expand investment opportunities and diversify its economy.
He stressed the importance of benefiting from advanced expertise to support and equipping Kuwaiti youth to such knowledge and modern technology, enabling them to acquire the vital skills for contributing to key sectors, and empowering them to lead future developments.
The discussion also reviewed the companies' latest activities in Kuwait, global economic development, and ways to strengthen cooperation in support of mutual interests and broader partnership.
