LONDON, Feb 25 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Ambassador to the United Kingdom Badr Abdullah Al-Muneikh inaugurated a permanent cultural and artistic exhibition titled "Huna AlKuwait", a celebration of national identity, at the headquarters of the Kuwaiti Cultural Office in London on Tuesday.
The event was attended by the heads of the embassy's affiliated offices, as well as esteemed diplomats, directors of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) cultural offices, and members of prominent British cultural institutions.
Dr. Abdullah Almeshal, Head of the Cultural Office, expressed to (KUNA) his gratitude and appreciation to the Ministry of Higher Education for supporting this initiative, he also extended his gratitude to his colleague Dr. Hessah AlOjayan, the Cultural Attache and the curator, for spearheading
Dr. Hessah AlOjayan took great pride in facilitating the exhibition.
She said to (KUNA) that the exhibition is a platform for Kuwaiti artists to share their talents with the international community, emphasizing the soft power of art in bridging cultures and deepening global appreciation for Kuwait's rich heritage.
She also extended her gratitude to the participating artists for their generous contribution of artwork.
At the heart of Huna AlKuwait lies an evocative dialogue between past and present, where themes of nostalgia and innovation coalesce.
The exhibition features contemporary works by 14 Kuwaiti artists, offering diverse perspectives on Kuwaiti identity.
Through a blend of heritage, memory, and transformation, these works celebrate the country's architectural and cultural legacy, the beauty of its coastline, and its unique wildlife.
From delicate calligraphic compositions to bold mixed-media installations, the pieces on display serve as a bridge between tradition and modernity, illustrating the evolving artistic and cultural landscape of Kuwait. (end)
