Yemen school reopens after Kuwait-funded reconstruction

ADEN, Aug 18 (KUNA) -- A school in the southern Yemeni province of Shabwa reopened its doors again on Wednesday after renovation work funded by a Kuwait-based charity was completed, authorities said.
Kuwait Society for Relief has engaged in various community service endeavors across Yemen, chief among them school-building projects, said Adel Bashan, its office chief in the impoverished Arabian Peninsula country.
The school renovation was the latest in a flow of Kuwaiti aid that has poured into Yemen. (end) sns.nam
