Kuwait strongly condemns Houthi continued threats to Saudi Arabia

KUWAIT, Sept 14 (KUNA) -- Kuwait, on Monday, expressed strong condemnation of Houthi militia continued threat to the security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
A Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry official source said that these ongoing criminal attacks, that target civilians and commercial air traffic movement, loudly violate international humanitarian law and other international conventions and are a threat to the security of Saudi Arabia and the stability of the region.
This requires swift and effective action by the international community to curb these attacks, stop them, and support efforts of the UN Secretary General's special envoy to Yemen, to reach a political solution according to the three terms of reference, in a manner that guarantees security and stability of Yemen and the region, the source added.
The three terms of reference are the Gulf Initiative and its executive mechanism, outcomes of the Yemeni National Dialogue Conference and relevant UN resolutions, mainly resolution 2216.
Kuwait fully stands by the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and supports all measures it takes to ensure its security and stability, the official concluded. (end) msa.aa
