1963 -- Kuwait establishes diplomatic ties on the ambassadorial level with
Syria.
1963 -- An Amiri decree is issued on the establishment of a supreme council
for civil aviation to place the state's civil aviation policies.
1976 -- Warba Insurance Company is established with a capital of KD four
million, aiming to provide insurance against fire, accidents, marine, land and
air transport.
1976 -- Decree number 82/76 is issued approving the agreement for resolving
investment disputes between countries hosting Arab investments and citizens of
Arab nation, which was agreed upon in the Arab Economic Unity Council on June
10, 1974.
1981 -- Securities Group Company is established to trade stocks in Kuwait
Stocks Exchange (KSE).
1987 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah delivers a
speech on the occasion of United Nations Day in which he asserts Kuwait's full
support for the UN and its compliance with the international laws.
1987 -- American airline office, Pan American, in Kuwait is bombed causing
material damages only.
1995 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah participates
in the United Nation's 50th anniversary in which he asserts the UN role in the
world.
1995 -- Kuwaitis witness a partial eclipse at sunrise lasting for one hour.
1999 -- The diplomatic area in Mishref celebrates the placing of the corner
