Acting Electricity Minister inspects National Control Center

KUWAIT, March 1 (KUNA) -- Minister of Public Works and Acting Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Nora Al-Mashaan visited the National Control Center Sunday to check on the stability of the power grid following the outage of several overhead lines caused by shrapnel from intercepted drones.
The ministry said Al-Mashaan was briefed on immediate measures taken to redistribute loads and contain temporary grid disturbances, noting that emergency teams began repairs promptly according to highest safety standards.
She praised the efficiency and rapid response of national staff, reassuring that electricity and water systems remain under control with continuous 24-hour monitoring to ensure service stability.
The minister prayed for the protection of Kuwait under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and for the country's continued security, stability, and prosperity. (end) fr.aai
