KRCS holds emergency meeting to boost readiness

KUWAIT, March 1 (KUNA) -- The Board of Directors of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society held an emergency meeting Sunday under Chairman Khaled Al-Mughames to follow up on current regional developments and enhance logistical readiness.
The board reviewed the results of the Operations and Emergency Committee meeting held Saturday, including approved emergency plans, raised readiness levels for staff and volunteers, and updated operational procedures and field response plans.
It reaffirmed full support for the committee, stressing continued high readiness and coordination with official agencies to ensure rapid and efficient response when needed.
The meeting also assessed logistical preparedness, confirmed the availability of essential supplies, and assigned volunteers to remain on duty around the clock at the headquarters to respond to any requests.
KRCS reiterated its commitment to its national and humanitarian role, working alongside state institutions and supporting their efforts in emergencies, reflecting its social responsibility and the trust of the Kuwaiti leadership and community. (end) slm.aai
