WASHINGTON, Feb 27 (KUNA) -- American sympathies toward Palestinians have reached the highest level since 2001, a poll showed on Friday.
The poll made by Gallup which measures annually the US opinion toward the world said that 41 percent of Americans now show solidarity with Palestinians and only 36 percent sympathize with the Israelis.
About 57 percent of Americans are in favor of the establishment of an independent Palestinian, approaching the highest ratio registered by Gallup since 2003.
From 2001 through early 2025, Gallup polling showed that Americans generally maintained higher sympathy for Israelis over Palestinians, with that advantage averaging roughly 43 points between 2001 and 2018, according to the poll.
This difference has begun dropping since 2019, it stated. (end)
