BEIJING, Jan 29 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait stressed the significance of the Belt and Road Initiative as a strategic framework for promoting economic and developmental cooperation and backing transition towards a green economy.
This came during the participation of the Kuwaiti Embassy in Beijing in the Fourth Economic and Environmental Cooperation Forum within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, held in Beijing amid large participation from Arab and Middle Eastern representatives of governments and international organizations, economists and environmentalists.
The Kuwaiti embassy's counselor Abdulaziz Al-Dakheel addressed the event by highlighting Kuwait's stance on the Belt and Road Initiative, the embassy said in a press release.
Al-Dakheel pointed out that the State of Kuwait was the first Middle Easter country to sign the documents of accession to the initiative in 2014, only out of its conviction of the significance of long-term international partnerships and its commitment to expanding aspects of cooperation with China, especially in infrastructure, clean energy and sustainable industrial development, in line with the New Kuwait 2035 vision.
