A view of the meeting between the two sides
KUWAIT, Jan 29 (KUNA) -- Social Affairs and Family and Childhood Affairs Minister Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah on Thursday met with UAE Minister of Community Empowerment Shamma Al-Mazrui to discuss enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise in social and family affairs.
The talks took place as Al-Huwailah received Al-Mazrui and her accompanying delegation on the occasion of an official visit to Kuwait, during which the two sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and mechanisms to develop services provided to beneficiaries.
Al-Huwailah reviewed key areas of the Ministry's work and coordination and integration mechanisms with civil society and charitable associations in Kuwait, as well as the role of the Public Authority for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities within a comprehensive support and care strategy.
For her part, Al-Mazrui presented an overview of the UAE Ministry of Community Empowerment's experience, highlighting key initiatives and programs aimed at strengthening community participation and empowering different segments of society in line with development goals.
The two sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination and bolstering bilateral cooperation frameworks to advance social and family work systems and support sustainable development in both countries. (end)
