WASHINGTON, Jan 7 (KUNA) -- US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is
scheduled to travel to New York on Friday and meet in the evening with King
Abdullah of Saudi Arabia to wish him well as he continues to recover from back
surgery, US State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley announced.
"We are delighted that the king, a valued friend and ally, is ready to
receive visitors, and the Secretary will wish him a rapid recovery," Crowley
said during a briefing.
Also in New York, Clinton will meet with Lebanon Prime Minister Saad
Al-Hariri and "reiterate our support for a sovereign, stable and
politically-independent Lebanon," Crowley said. (end)
