Palestinian missile targets Ashkelon, southern Israel, mortar shell targets Negev

GAZA, Sept 15 (KUNA) -- A missile was launched this morning from northern Gaza targeting southern Israel, the Israeli occupation army announced.
A spokesman of the Israeli army told Radio Israel that the missile exploded in the industrial area in Ashkelon, and caused no material damages or casualties.
Meanwhile Palestinian gunmen fired mortar shells earlier today towards Eshkol town in the Negev in southern Israel, a spokesman of the Israeli occupation army told Radio Israel.
The attack did not result in material damages or casualties, the radio added. No Palestinian faction claimed responsibility of either attacks.
The Israeli cabinet will meet later today, headed by the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to study the increase in Palestinian missile attacks towards southern Israel, the radio said.
Meanwhile, the security bodies of the resigned government in Gaza evacuated its locations and headquarters in anticipation of Israeli raids.(end) mzt.lb KUNA 151243 Sep 10NNNN
