NEW DELHI, June 18 (KUNA) -- Indian security forces killed two militants in
a gunbattle in the countrys northern most state of Jammu and Kashmir. The
dead bodies were recovered today, said media reports reaching New Delhi.
The gunbattle took place in the states Baramulla district.
According to the reports, the encounter was initiated by the militants by
opening fire at a search party of special operations group of local police and
other security troops.
Till the last reports, the local police were still ascertaining the
identity and group affiliation of the slain militants. (end)
