Eight Iraqis killed, eight others injured in several attacks

BAGHDAD, June 18 (KUNA) -- Eight Iraqis were killed and eight others were injured in several attacks on Friday.
Iraqi Police said that four Iraqis were killed and eight others were injured when a rocket fell on homes Abu Ghraib area, west Baghdad early Friday.
A source from the police told KUNA that the injured included women, adding that the attack caused great damage in three houses.
Sources from the police said the rocket might have missed its target, as militant often target a base of the Iraqi Army which is close to that area.
Meanwhile, unidentified militants killed an Iraqi family of four people after breaking into their home early Friday.
A source from the police told KUNA the militants opened fire at Faisal Hassan, his pregnant wife, and two children, killing them all.
Hassan was an employee at Abu Ghraib water department, he added.
He pointed out that an investigation was ongoing on the attack.
A doctor, who asked for anonymity, said that the mother and her baby died in hospital.
In the meantime, Iraqi authorities defused a bomb in Abu Ghraib.
