TEHRAN, Nov 23 (KUNA) -- The Iranian armed forces successfully completed on
Monday the first stage of the air defense maneuvers during which it tested
mobile and fixed radars.
The first stage of the drills was to spot the enemy's targets using the
various radars, the maneuvers spokesperson, Major General Ali Maqesa told
reporters.
The Revolutionary Guards (IRG) and the Iranian forces achieved great
progress during the maneuvers which will last for five days, implementing the
anti-aircraft and missiles systems, the Major General Maqesa said.
Maqesa affirmed the Iranian forces' ability to respond and prevent any
assault on the country, announcing that "the Defense Industry organization is
capable of feeding the country's demands on defense equipments and systems the
country's need of the devices and defense systems."
The Iranian air forces started on Sunday joint military drills using
anti-aircrafts and missiles systems. They were training on electronic combat
and possible nuclear or mass destruction weapons. (end)
