Roadside blast kills two, wounds six MoE employees in Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD, April 11 (KUNA) -- At least two employees of Ministry of Education (MoE) were killed and six others sustained injuries in a roadside mine blast in Afghan capital city Kabul on Monday, said officials.
A spokesman for the Ministry, Mujib Mehrdad in a statement said that the incident took place in Kamari area of Bagrami district of Kabul when a ministry staff bus struck a roadside mine.
He confirmed that two employees of MoE were killed and six others were injured in the blast.
Crime branch chief for 101 Asmayee Zone, Brig. Gen. Faridoon Obaidi confirmed the casualties and said that an investigation on the incident is being carried out.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the blast.
The incident comes less than two days after insurgents fired rockets at a girl's school in Kabul causing no casualties.
The MoE spokesperson urged all warring parties to recognize schools as civilian facilities and should not be attacked. (end) sbk.nfm
