Chairman of the Association of the National Olympics Committees (ANOC), Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah
KUWAIT, July 16 (KUNA) -- Chairman of the Association of the National
Olympics Committees (ANOC), Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah condemned
on Monday the kidnapping of Libyan Olympic Committee Member Nabil Al-Alam by
unknown people.
Sheikh Ahmad told KUNA that ANOC association along with the Olympic
committee express wishes for the release of Al-Alam as soon as possible,
particularly before the advent of holy month of Ramadan in the Arab and
Islamic worlds.
Sheikh Ahmad called on authorities concerned to exert efforts and ensure
the release of Al-Alam, also prior to the start of Olympic London games on
July 27th. (end)
