Chelsea beats Benfica, advances to '25 FIFA Club World Cup's quarterfinals

KUWAIT, June 29 (KUNA) -- Chelsea beat Benfica by 4-1 goals at the round 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, advancing to the quarterfinals of the tournament held in the US until July 13.
Held in the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, the match lasted for four hours due to it being suspended midgame as a result of weather warning and then resumed.
Chelsea scored in the 64, 108, 114, and 117 minutes of the match, while Benfica's sole goal came in the 90+5 minute.
Scoring for Chelsea were Reece James, Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto, and Keiman Dewsbury-Hall respectively, while Angel Di Maria scored for Benfica.
Chelsea now faces Brazil's Palmeiras next Saturday. The Brazilian team won against compatriot Botafogo by 1-0 goals after extra time. (end) fsa.gta
