Over 75,000 Palestinians perform last Friday prayer of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque

RAMALLAH, March 28 (KUNA) - About 75,000 Palestinians performed the last Friday prayer of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque, said the Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem.
The occupation forces imposed strict military measures around the Old City, setting up checkpoints.
The Israeli occupation's measures prevented thousands of Palestinians from reaching the city of Jerusalem to perform the last Friday prayer of Ramadan through various restrictions.
Earlier, Palestinians from the northern West Bank have been flocking to the Qalandia checkpoint north of the city, amidst strict military measures that have sent many of them, the elderly, back to their homes after they were prevented from crossing the checkpoint. (end) nq.aa
