GAZA, Dec 31 (KUNA) -- Israeli newspaper published Friday a detailed
report, which revealed new details on the assassination of Hamas' member
Mahmoud Al-Mabhouh in Dubai earlier this year.
Yediot Ahronot said that the investigation conducted by the Dubai police
suggests that some crew members of the Israeli Mossad, who killed Al-Mabhouh,
had tried in November of last year to poison him in Dubai.
"Al-Mabhouh did not feel well, yet recovered later," the report added.
Al-Mabhouh was named "Plasma Screen" by the Mossad years ago.
The daily added that Al-Mabhouh was involved in smuggling Iranian weapons
into the Gaza Strip through the Egyptian and Sudanese territories.
Al-Mabhouh was assassinated in Dubai January 19.
A Dubai Police commander said at the time that 26 people with European
passports, including a woman, were involved in the assassination of
Al-Mabhouh, accusing Mossad for such incident. (end)
