17 killed, 18 injured in blast at explosives factory in west India's Maharashtra

NEW DELHI, March 1 (KUNA) -- At least 17 people were killed and 18 others were injured on Sunday in a blast at an explosives manufacturing factory in Nagpur district, western Indian state of Maharashtra.
The Press Trust of India said quoting the police that 17 persons were killed and 18 injured following the blast at the SBL Energy Limited factory, a mining and industrial explosives manufacturer, at Raulgaon in Katol tehsil of Nagpur.
A team of the National Disaster Response Force reached the spot to handle rescue operations and all the injured have been shifted to a hospital in Nagpur after the blast. (end) atk.ahm
