KUWAIT, Jan 31 (KUNA) -- The first Kuwaiti-Emirati "Challenge" school football tournament kicked off Saturday, at the Sulaibikhat Sports Club under the patronage of Minister of Education Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabai.
The opening match saw Kuwait-A and UAE-B draw 3-3, while the second encounter between Kuwait-B and UAE-A also ended in a stalemate with a 2-2 scoreline.
The tournament follows six-a-side format, with matches played on reduced-size pitches to accommodate the smaller player count. Each match lasts 50 minutes.
The competition, which features high school students representing two teams from Kuwait and two teams from the UAE, is scheduled to run until February 3. (end)
