KUWAIT, Jan 2 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah made a field security tour of Abdali area to inspect the security situation and check work at key sites linked to food security and public services.
In a press release on Friday, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said the tour included visits to several farms, where Sheikh Fahad Yusuf was briefed on operations, the efforts of workers in the sector, and challenges facing farmers.
He reiterated the ministry's support for efforts that strengthen security and stability and serve the public interest.
Sheikh Fahad Yusuf also visited the Abdali farmers' market, reviewed its organization and operations, and commended its role in supporting local produce and food security, underlining the importance of following rules and instructions to ensure safety.
He later visited the Kuwaiti Farmers Union headquarters, met with a number of farmers, and heard their feedback and proposals, the statement added, underscoring the ministry's commitment to direct engagement with the community to strengthen partnership and cooperation. (end)
