Kuwait beat Mauritania 2-0 to qualify for FIFA Arab Cup in Qatar

DOHA, Nov 25 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's national football team have beaten Mauritania 2-0 to qualify for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025.
Mohammad Daham scored the opener for the Blues in the seventh minute and scored once more in the 23rd minute during the fixture that took place at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Tuesday.
The Kuwaiti squad managed to maintain the score in the second half even though Mauritania scored a goal, but it was disqualified due to offside, enabling the Blues to advance to the pan-Arab championship due in Qatar next month.
Qatar hosts the FIFA Arab Cup 2025 for the second successive edition, having hosted the inaugural tournament in 2021.
Sixteen nations from across the Arab world will compete for glory, including reigning champions Algeria.
The Final Stage runs from 1-18 December 2025, following a Qualification Stage on 25-26 November 2025. (end) sss.mt
