Pakistan's Security operation kills 22 militants

ISLAMABAD, Nov 25 (KUNA) -- Security forces killed 22 militants during an intelligence-based operation by the Pakistani army in the country's northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province bordering Afghanistan, said the military on Tuesday.
According to a press release by Pakistan military's media wing Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Bannu District of KPK, on reported presence of militants.
Pakistani troops effectively engaged the militants' location and after an intense exchange of fire, 22 militants were killed, confirmed ISPR.
The operation comes a day after three security personnel of paramilitary Federal Constabulary (FC) were killed while nine others sustained injuries in a suicide attack targeting FC headquarters in Peshawar city of KPK. (end) sbk.sar
