FIFA World Cup quarterfinals U-17 kicks off in Doha

DOHA, Nov 21 (KUNA) -- The quarterfinals matches of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, hosted by the Qatari capital Doha, kicked off Friday, and will continue until November 27.
In today's matches, Austria defeated Japan 1-0, Italy defeated Burkina Faso 1-0, while Portugal defeated Switzerland 2-0, and finally Brazil defeated Morocco 2-1.
Next Monday, the semifinals will witness Austria against Italy, and Brazil against Portugal.
The participating teams were scheduled to play 104 games over 25 days at eight stadiums within the Aspire Academy. (end) sss.mb
