TEHRAN, June 24 (KUNA) -- Damage assessment to the nuclear facilities assaulted by the US air force and the Israeli occupation had commenced, said head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami on Tuesday.
Speaking to Iranian television, Eslami affirmed that while assessment was ongoing, plans would be set to avoid interruption of production lines.
The nuclear facilities of Fordow, Natanz, and Isafhani were attacked by the US last Sunday. They were also targeted by the Israeli occupation forces.
US President Donald Trump announced last night a ceasefire between Iran and the Israeli occupation after what he dubbed as the "12 Day War." Iran, through its Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, said it would cease attacks as long as the people of Iran were not attacked.
The tit-for-tat attacks between Iran and the Israeli occupation began on June 13 when the latter attack the former, prompting Tehran to launch a barrage of missile attacks against targets in the occupied territories including Haifa and Tel Aviv. (end) mw.gta
