RIYADH, May 13 (KUNA) -- US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that his country is set to remove sanctions on Syria to give them a great opportunity.
This came in a speech at the Saudi-US Investment Forum held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, coinciding with the Trump's tour to the Middle East.
Trump noted that the decision came after discussions with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, as well as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, indicating that the US Secretary of State will hold a meeting with the Syrian Foreign Minister in Turkiye later this week. (end)
