To contain the spread of the coronavirus, the government has put Tokyo and 10 other prefectures under a second state of emergency, including Kanagawa and Osaka.
Under the declaration running through February 7, residents in 11 prefectures are urged to refrain from nonessential outings after 08:00 p.m. Restaurants and other establishments are also asked to close by 08:00 p.m. (end)
