MILSET Asia holds virtual conf. to discuss Youths' future after (Covid-19)

KUWAIT, July 13 (KUNA) -- The International Movement for Leisure activities in Science and technology (MILSET) announced Monday the launching of a youth conference intitled "How to build a better future for the post Coronavirus period," with participation of Kuwait.
The conference aims to discuss youths' points of view on how to build a better scientific, technical, and medical future to better serve the humanity and assures the sustainable developments and protect global environment.
In a statement to KUNA, Vice President of MILSET Asia and head of its regional office for Asia, Adnan Al-Meer said that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the conference's workshops and the closing session will be held online in November.
"The conference is an activity organized by MILSET Headquarter, with participation of member states by holding online workshops and seminars from thier own countries, to submit thier papers when they meet in November," Al-meer added.
He assured the organizations has followed health directives during the quarantine time and adopted the online programs and meetings during that time, such as the meetings of members of MILSET executive committee, heads of regional offices, and the Youth conference.
In this regard, Al-Meer referred to a meetings that was held online, between the secretariats of MILSET's main office in Mexico and regional offices were participants exchanged views and ideas to organize work in this critical time because of the outbreak.
The meeting called on youth to communicate at this important stage and learn more about the development and efforts of laboratories in world.
Kuwait Ministry of Education had participated in October, 2019 in youth conference on artificial intelligence in the presence of an astronaut and scholars from around the world.
MILSET is a non-governmental, non-profit and politically independent youth organization, which aims at developing scientific culture among young people through the organization of science-and-technology programs, including science fairs, science camps, congresses and others activities of high quality.
