Egypt discovers oil at 14,400 feet under ground

CAIRO, June 3 (KUNA) -- Egypt discovered a new crude oil well with a capacity of 4,100 barrels of oil and 18 million cubic feet of gas per day.
The discovery was confirmed in a report addressed to Minister of Petroleum Tareq Al-Mola from the head of Burj Al-Arab Petroleum Company, Ashraf Abu Zaina.
The company is in charge of operations at the concessions' location, Abu Sinan, on behalf of the Egyptian Petroleum Authority and Kuwait Energy Egypt, according to a statement released by the ministry on Wednesday.
The crude oil was discovered at a 14,400-feet depth. (end) asm.rk
