Turkish FM: 156 citizens died due to coronavirus abroad

ISTANBUL, April 4 (KUNA) -- The death toll of Turkish nationals abroad due to the coronavirus increased to 156 people, Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Saturday.
In a statement (CNN Turk) channel, Cavusoglu stressed that his country had recovered 50 of the deceased for burial in Turkey, noting that the Turkish authorities evacuated of approximately 25,000 citizens from 55 countries so far.
Earlier today, Turkish health minister Fahrettin Koca announced that the number of the deaths due to the virus inside Turkey climbed to 501 after recording 76 new cases in the last 24 hours, while the infections reached 23,934. (end) ta.aa
