MOSCOW, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Ambassador to the Russian Federation Abdulaziz Al-Adwani on Tuesday stated that his country's desire is to deepen economic cooperation with North Caucasus region.
During his meeting with Russian Minister of North Caucasus Affairs Sergei Chebotarev, Ambassador Al-Adwani said the Kuwaiti public and private sector investors are interested in the investment opportunities in this Russian region.
The two sides reviewed explored ways to enhance cooperation in various areas, according to a statement by the Ministry of North Caucasus Affairs.
On his part, the Russian minister said there are huge prospects of cooperation in the economic, commercial, industrial, agricultural, tourist and energy fields.
Chebotarev pledged that his ministry would adopt the necessary measures to facilitate the investment cooperation and enhance the bilateral ties with a view to serving the interests of both countries.
The North Caucasian region includes the districts of Krasnodar Krai and Stavropol Krai, as well as the republics of Adygea, Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, North Ossetia-Alania, Ingushetia, Chechnya and Dagestan. (end) as.rg.gb
