Groups fighting in Libyan capital reach ceasefire - UN

TUNIS, Sept 9 (KUNA) -- Armed groups fighting in Libya's capital Tripoli over the past week have reached a ceasefire, the United Nations said on Sunday.
The violence has led to the death of at least 47 people and the displacement of 1,800 families, based on official figures.
The deal, which also puts in place a ceasefire observer mechanism and talks on subsequent security arrangements, follows negotiations that began on Tuesday, the UN Mission in Libya said.
The move came amid a meeting attended by representatives of the UN-backed Government of National Accord and faction leaders. (end) ksj.sd
