ROME, July 13 (KUNA) -- The Consul General of the State of Kuwait in Milan and Northern Italy Abdulnaser Bokhador met on Thursday with President of Lombardy Attilio Fontana and discussed bilateral cooperation and means to enhance economic and cultural ties with northern Italy.
Fontana announced the organization of a roundtable meeting between Kuwaiti Consulate-General in Milan and Lombardy's governors and officials in order to offer mutual investment, commercial and industrial opportunities, and tackle means of cooperation and coordination on that matter, regarding that Lombardy is the most important and vital region in Italy and Europe in tight economic ties with Kuwait.
Kuwaiti Consulate-General added in a press release that Bokhador met yesterday the newly-appointed President of Lombardy to congratulate him over winning the elections, and to boost cooperation between both sides to better serve mutual interests of both nations.
They discussed means of boosting cooperation between Kuwait and northern provinces of Italy, chiefly Lombardy, especially in the economic, commercial, and cultural domains, it added.(end) mn.lb
