Bahraini PM arrives in Kuwait on brotherly visit

KUWAIT, May 21 (KUNA) -- Bahrain's Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa arrived in Kuwait Monday on a short brotherly visit.
Prince Khalifa was received at the airport by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah and Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah as well as Sheikhs, ministers, advisors and governors, and senior officials of state and from the Prime Minister's Diwan.
On arrival, Prince Khalifa said that he was pleased to visit Kuwait during the holy month of Ramadan, to meet with His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and to reaffirm the well-established bilateral relations He added that he was delighted to visit Kuwait to convey greetings of the Bahraini King and people to Kuwaiti brothers.
He also stressed that the Bahraini people highly appreciate its leadership, referring to Kuwait's honorable stances and continued support for the Kingdom.
The Prime Minister noted that he is looking forward to meeting His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister, with wide hopes for a better future of bilateral cooperation to maintain the two countries' interests and fulfill the aspirations of their peoples, he said.
The Bahraini Premier referred to the accelerating global security developments, with their economic and political effects on the two countries.
This makes coordination and consultation inevitable to boost stances to protect interests, mainly security and regional stability, he said.
Finally, the Prime Minister prayed Allah to maintain security, safety and prosperity of the State of Kuwait and the Kuwaiti people under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir. (end) msa.hm
