KUWAIT, Jan 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti high school well-achievers visited several historical and cultural landmarks in the cities of Kruje and Durres and project financed by Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) as part of their tour organized by the Fund to Albania.
In a statement to KUNA, KFAED's Press Chief Ahmad Al-Sarraf said Wednesday that the student's tour in Kruje included a visit to Old Bazaar, which is one of the oldest and traditional handicraft markets in Albania.
The delegation also visited the Skanderbeg museum and Castle Of George Kastrioti, which is of great historical significance.
Moreover, the delegation then went on a field visit to Durres Bypass and the Vora Interchange Project on the Durres - Vora Road, a vital project funded by KFAED to link coastal cities to each other.
The delegation later moved to the coastal city of Durres, about 30 km from the capital Tirana. Durres has the second largest port in the country and the largest amphitheater in the Balkan peninsula.
The outstanding students trip initiative was launched by KFAED in 2010, organizing two separate trips a year for 12 males and 12 females from high schools.
The trips involve two countries where KFAED is executing vital projects. (end) nsh.haq
