ISLAMABAD, Sept 5 (KUNA) -- At least 13 fighters belonging to so-called Islamic State (IS) were killed and several others were injured in air strikes by Afghan Air Force in Afghanistanآ’s eastern Nangarhar province, said officials on Monday.
Nangarhar governorآ’s spokesman Attaullah Khogyani told media that the raids were conducted in Mamand Dara, Bandar and Janjal Shaga areas of the Achin district in Nangarhar in past 24 hours. He confirmed that 13 insurgents were killed and three others were wounded in the strikes near the Pakistan border, which did not harm any civilians.
The 201st Selab Military Corps also confirmed the air raids. (end)
